Episode 1: Wherein Everyone Fails at Everything

Thanks for listening to I Know This One!  A trivia game for people who aren't as smart as they think they are.

Right now, that's mostly my friends and coworkers.

I wanted to get back into podcasting, and had started listening to Good Job, Brain! (You should too!)

On the short-lived podcast I used to do we did a little news quiz at the end of each show, and it was always the best part. It seemed there currently aren't that many trivia podcasts out there, so it seemed like there was room to grow.

But I wanted to do something a little different than Good Job, Brain! and other random trivia games.

So here's what we decided to do:

Each player gets to pick a category, not from a pre-determined list, but straight out of their own head. They can pick anything they think they're good at. The first two rounds cover each of those categories with five questions each. Both players get the opportunity to answer these questions. You'll get the rest of it as you listen.

Obviously, the rules could change. I'm writing this after recording the first episode and I'm already thinking about it. Hindsight and all that.

Lastly, I wanted to thank chip musician Disasterpeace again here for letting use "Funky Fruitstand" as the intro to the show. He doesn't promote or support the show in any way, but I wanted to support him for being a cool person. Check him out at Disasterpeace.com and on iTunes.

Download the show here. We had a great time making it, and we hope you enjoy it.
